Comarch Becomes Official Sponsor of Andrzej Bargiel’s Everest Ski Challenge 2025

Comarch, a European leader in IT solutions, is proud to announce its role as the Official Sponsor of Andrzej Bargiel and the high-altitude expeditions organized under the HIC SUNT project – including Bargiel’s latest endeavor, the EVEREST SKI CHALLENGE 2025.
On August 20, Bargiel and his team will set off for the Himalayas to attempt a historic feat: to climb Mount Everest (8,849 m) and ski from its summit – without the use of supplemental oxygen.
Bargiel’s decision to partner with Comarch was no coincidence. The company’s history reflects values that closely align with his own: the courage to push boundaries, consistency in action, and the pursuit of excellence.
“I have known Andrzej for more than a decade; we first met in Chamonix, when he was on his way to the summit of Mont Blanc. I’ve had the opportunity to be in the Himalayas three times, so I have some sense of what lies ahead there. I am proud that we at Comarch can support Andrzej, because he and his team embody values that are also close to us: courage, attention to detail, teamwork, and a sense of agency. The latter, in particular, carries enormous significance. We stand behind you and cheer you on every step of the way. Thank you for allowing us to be part of this journey!” - emphasizes Jarosław Mikos, CEO of Comarch.
Andrzej Bargiel, a world-renowned ski mountaineer and the first person to descend on skis from all four of the Karakoram’s 8,000-meter peaks – K2, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, and Broad Peak – has earned global recognition for his bold vision combined with meticulous preparation. His record-breaking ascents and descents of the highest peaks in the Himalayas and Karakoram have made him one of the most innovative athletes of his generation.
“I am grateful to have Comarch supporting me in pursuing this mission,” said Andrzej Bargiel. “Knowing that I have a partner who shares my commitment to excellence and perseverance gives me confidence as I face the challenges ahead.”
The expedition continues Bargiel’s signature project, HIC SUNT LEONES, and marks his third attempt at this monumental challenge, following earlier efforts in 2019 and 2022. This year’s strategy builds on the lessons of past expeditions: beginning the mission earlier in the Himalayas to allow for better acclimatization and to take full advantage of the optimal weather window in mid-September.
