Joanna Ormińska joins Comarch as Chief M&A and Corporate Development

Comarch, supported by CVC Capital Partners, is consistently executing its new global growth strategy. A key pillar of this strategy is strengthening its capabilities in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), which will complement and accelerate the company’s organic expansion.
Joanna Ormińska, who brings extensive experience in executing high-profile and transformative transactions in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sector, is joining Comarch’s management team.
From 2019 to 2025, Joanna led the M&A division at Play (iliad Group), overseeing transactions in the Polish market and supporting the iliad Group’s projects across Europe. She designed and implemented the “buy or build” infrastructure investment program, working with the French fund InfraVia and Polski Światłowód Otwarty. Previously, she worked in investment banking at Trigon, where she advised entrepreneurs and funds on IPOs, M&A transactions, and financing processes.
Her track record covers a number of landmark deals in the TMT sector, including the IPO of LiveChat, the acquisition of Polkomtel by Cyfrowy Polsat Group, the purchase of UPC from Liberty Global, the sale of passive infrastructure to Cellnex, and the negotiation of infrastructure acquisitions from Vectra Group.
At Comarch, Joanna Ormińska will be responsible for driving transformational processes through acquisitions and portfolio optimization, collaborating with internal teams and external partners on transactions, overseeing post-merger integrations, and further developing the team’s competencies.
- Comarch has tremendous potential. Step by step, we will be working to build its value across individual segments in order to realize its global ambitions. M&A projects will serve as a catalyst for the Group’s organic growth, says Joanna Ormińska.
- I am excited to be joining Comarch. Ahead of us lies a range of fascinating projects that will enable the company’s continued dynamic growth, both in Poland and internationally. The IT industry brings not only challenges, such as artificial intelligence, but also enormous opportunities, she adds.
Jarosław Mikos, President of the Management Board of Comarch, emphasizes:
- The addition of Joanna Ormińska to our management team is a significant reinforcement in the field of mergers and acquisitions. Her experience in executing major transactions and her pragmatic approach to integration will strongly support Comarch’s ongoing transformation and the effective implementation of our strategy.
